Rescue operations suspended for man who jumped off the third mainland bridge into Lagoon

Emergency responders in Lagos have suspended the search for a man who jumped off the third mainland bridge into the Lagoon, sadly without success

The rescue unit are hoping to conduct a surface search later this evening.

The 22-year-old man was riding in an e-hailing taxi before disembarking on the bridge on the pretext of wanting to urinate – at which point he made the dive.

Tvc news gathered that the search had been on for more than five hours and comes only a month after another man attempted committing suicide on the third mainland bridge.
