It has been a busy week bookended by the Oscars and New York Fashion Week. The three sisters behind the band Haim—Este, Danielle, and Alana—turned heads at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. Danielle wore an Anne Demeulemeester dress, Este chose a New Agey white Loewe number, while Danielle also dressed in Loewe with a kicky skirt and sheer overlay. Talk about a trifecta.
A few days later was the Tom Ford show, not in New York, but rather in Los Angeles. Jennifer Lopez headed off to the West Coast with her husband-to-be Alex Rodriguez on her arm. She was wearing Tom Ford, of course: a black cocktail dress with diving dƩcolletage and a choker necklace that took up her whole neck.
Back in New York City, Maggie Rogers was also enjoying fashion week. She headed to the Khaite dinner in a strapless number in a delicious poofy tulle skirt. Rogers showed off her look by jumping on a hotel bed. Richie Shazam was also having a blast. They went to the country singer Kacey Musgraves’s launch of her Boy Smells candle, Slow Burn. Shazam turned up the look, too, wearing a blindingly yellow Supreme shirt and a Ganni leather skirt. Who says clothes can’t be fun?
Need a fashion event palate cleanser? Last Sunday, musician and model Julia Cumming headed to the Bernie Sanders rally in New Hampshire to play not one, but two, concerts with her band Sunflower Bean. And although she was off the runway, there was a bit of a stylized wardrobe going on. Cumming wore a white Perry Ellis shirt that she herself customized with “Vote” above the right pocket, a long tie, and a pleated leather skirt.
